Investment Highlights
β Our Vision for Transformation
From Vacant Land to
Vibrant Neighbourhoods
Conceptual inspirations for transforming vacant or underutilized land into vibrant, family-friendly neighbourhoods. Each Ozimele development begins with a vision for the community it will become, not just the structures it will contain.
Residential
Safe, Dignified Homes
Thoughtfully designed residential units that provide families with secure, comfortable spaces built to last. Quality materials and energy-efficient design keep long-term living costs low for homeowners.
Sustainability
Green Community Living
Water conservation systems, landscaped communal areas, and climate-appropriate planting create neighbourhoods that are pleasant to live in and responsible to maintain. Green is not a selling point. It is the standard.
Economy
Local Economic Growth
Every development is structured to generate economic activity in its surrounding area. Local hiring during construction, procurement from small businesses, and skills transfer programmes ensure that investment reaches the community directly.
β The Market Opportunity
Why Affordable Housing,
Why Now
South Africaβs housing shortage is one of the countryβs defining challenges. The backlog runs into the millions, and government delivery alone cannot close the gap. For investors who understand that social need and market opportunity can coexist, this is one of the most compelling sectors on the continent.
2.3M+
Housing Backlog
South Africaβs estimated housing deficit continues to grow annually, driven by urbanisation and population growth.
Level 1
B-BBEE Aligned
100% Black female ownership positions Ozimele at the highest level of transformation compliance for institutional mandates.
ESG
Impact Measured
Environmental, social, and governance outcomes are tracked and reported transparently across every project for full investor visibility.

β Flagship Project
Shakaskraal Residential
Development
π Chakakraal, KwaZulu-Natal
Our flagship development will deliver 54 affordable residential units designed for the needs of modern South African families. The project sits on land owned directly by Ozimeleβs founder, removing a significant layer of development risk from the outset.
Beyond delivering quality homes, Shakaskraal is structured to generate local employment during construction, support area small businesses through targeted procurement, and provide skills development opportunities for community members. The result is a project where financial performance and social outcomes are inseparable.
β Why Partner With Ozimele
An Investment Built
on Substance
Ozimele is not asking investors to bet on a concept. The land is owned. The project is defined. The demand is documented. Here is what your partnership supports and what it delivers.
π
Confirmed Asset Base
The Shakaskraal development site is owned outright by the founder. This eliminates land acquisition risk and provides a tangible asset foundation from day one of the partnership.
π
Transparent Governance
We operate with full financial transparency. Investors receive structured reporting, clear milestone tracking, and direct visibility into how funds are deployed and what outcomes they produce.
π±
Sustainability Built In
Energy-efficient construction, water-smart systems, and environmentally responsible materials are standard on every Ozimele project. Lower operating costs for residents and a reduced environmental footprint for investors who care about both.
β Meet the Founder
Lucele Langer
Founder & Managing Director
Born and raised in Stanger, KwaZulu-Natal, Lucele Langer is the landowner of the Shakaskraal development site and the driving force behind Ozimele Development. Her personal connection to the region and its communities is not incidental to the business. It is the reason the business exists.
As a 100% Black female property developer, Lucele represents a new generation of South African business leadership. One that sees no separation between commercial viability and community benefit. For investors, her direct ownership of the land, her roots in the region, and her hands-on approach to every aspect of development provide a level of alignment and accountability that is difficult to replicate.
βMeaningful development begins with purpose. The greatest returns are the ones that uplift lives.β
